Baptisms are celebrated after the 10:30am Sunday Mass at St. Valentine or after the 11:30am Sunday Mass at St. Joseph.
Godparents: Godparents must be at least 16 years of age, must have received the three sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation & Holy Eucharist), must lead a life in harmony with the Catholic Church which includes regular attendance at Mass and, if married, must be married in a valid, Catholic marriage. Godparents may not be the biological parents of the child. There can be one or two sponsors; if there are two, one must be male and the other female. A baptized person who belongs to a non-Catholic, Christian church cannot be an official godparent. They may serve as a Christian witness provided there is one qualified Catholic godparent alongside them. If the godparents are not members of St. Rose of Lima Parish, a Certificate of Eligibility may be requested.
